Obituary of OLIVE DZIEDZIC

OLIVE DZIEDZIC

With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Baba and great-grandmother, Olive, on February 1, 2018 at Holy Family Home at 95 years of age.

Left to mourn her passing are her son, Richard (Romka), daughter, Janice, grandchildren Pamela Perreault (Maurice), Lisa Dziedzic (Chris), Veronica Wautier, Andrew Wautier (Tearislee), great-grandchildren Kieran Perreault, Devin Perreault and Zoey Wautier. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Michaluk, along with numerous relatives.

Olive was predeceased by her husband, Walter; daughter, Connie; son-in-law, Lee Wautier, six brothers and two sisters.

She was born in Teulon, Manitoba to Joseph and Martha Michaluk. Olive married Walter on June 2, 1945 and together they made their home in Winnipeg. Baba loved her family dearly and devoted her life to caring for us. Time spent with her grandchildren was precious to her. She could bring any plant back to life, take any stain out of clothing, meticulously pinch and roll dough for perogies one by one and make the best dill pickles! Mom loved road trips and travelled across Canada, USA and to Mexico. She enjoyed playing Bingo and betting the minimum at the casino.

Olive’s family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff at Holy Family Home for the excellent care, compassion and support.

Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Home.
