Obituary of NORMAN HENRY OHLSON

Norman Henry Ohlson, 83, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2017. A service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Friday, November 10 at 5PM with reception to follow.

Norman was born in Montreal to Henry and Mary (nee Livingston) Ohlson on March 24, 1934. He proudly served as a gunner in the 2nd Regiment RCHA from 1953 to 1959, receiving a NATO Special Service Medal. Norman worked for over five decades in the grocery business at Dominion and IGA, befriending countless co-workers and customers. He was a true original Habs and Bomber fan.

Beloved husband to Patricia (Arlo) (nee Ward) of 61 years, father to Guy (Lynn), John (Karen) and Dan (Lee), and grandpa to Ashley (Tyler), Ryan, Brenden, Adam, Rae and Elan, and great grandpa to Noelle and Phoenix. He was the oldest brother to Vega, Linda and John (Donna), and was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother Gerald.
