EVA MARY JARRETT
Passed away peacefully in her 93rd year at the Grace Hospital.
Born Eva Mary Sliskovic in Port Arthur, Ontario to Croatian immigrants and later moving to Winnipeg with her 3 young children and 2nd husband. In her early years, she loved to sew and her creative side came out in her oil paintings.
She was a voracious reader and loved to garden later turning to coaxing tomato seeds and potted petunias from her apartment balcony.
She loved zipping off to bingo and occasionally even to the casino. As her age went up, her eyesight declined to a point where she needed a magnifying glass to do her daily crossword.
Predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary Sliskovic, first husband Morris Olchowsky, second husband Robert Jarrett, third husband Michael Pura, her sister Helen Beck, brothers Joseph and John, step-daughter Roberta Jarrett and step-granddaughter Charli Hanson. Survived by her brother Frank (Susan) her sons Mick (Donna) James (Malhee), daughters Jolene (Bob), Eileen (Anthony), Maryanne (Gary), step-daughters Judith (Dennis), Kate (Emil), Darlene (Terry) John (Leslie), many grandchildren and even great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends including her life-long friend Aggie.
We're all going to miss you mom, hope you're seeing more clearly now.
