On May 8, 2017 after a brief illness, Michael Evaschesen, passed away at the age of 77, with family by his side.  Michael is survived by his wife, Louise, Jaclyn (Wayne Warkentin), grandson Walker, and Donalee (Dave Sharratt), grandchildren Emily and Ryder.  He also leaves to mourn his siblings Elizabeth (Murray Burt), Peter (Beth Evaschesen), Jeannie (Chris Brewer), and Alice (Neil Marvin), In-laws June Evaschesen, Kent (Judy) Lynn, Vic Peters and Pat (Murray) Frost, and many nieces and nephews.  Michael is predeceased by his parents Michael and Jean, siblings John, Christine, and niece, Lindsay.

Michael was born in Regina, SK and remained a Roughrider fan until the end. In 1960, Michael married Louise, and became an Air Traffic Controller. Together, they thrived in Regina, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg.

In 1984, Michael retired from the Dry Cleaning business, and in 1997 he retired after 37 years as an Air Traffic Controller to focus on his other passions: spending time with his family and friends, travelling often to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Arizona, also to Hawaii, Cuba, Mexico and Disneyland, landscaping, building, hosting tent parties in his yard, playing crib, cooking, wine making and watching movies.

Our family would like to thank Seven Oaks Hospital, doctors and nurses, especially Dr. T. Fatoya, Dr. J. Johnston, Dr. G. Vasquez-Grande, and the people of HSC’s ICU.  If so desired, donations may be made to the Seven Oaks School Division Foundation or the Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation.
