Obituary of STANLEY FRANK BUKSAK

STANLEY FRANK BUKSAK

Stanley passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 1, 2017 in East St. Paul, MB.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Marianne of 51 years; sister Elisabeth Laing; niece Kerrilynn; nephews, Darryl and Grahame; great-nephews, Cordell and Leland; and great niece Camryn. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Katherine Buksak; brother Raymond and sister-in-law Gail, brother Eddie and brother-in-law Walter Laing.

Stanley attended East St. Paul School, Red River College and University of Manitoba.  He was employed by Labatt’s Brewery for 36 years and at the same time continued with his love for market gardening.  When he retired from Labatt’s in 1996, his vegetable operation expanded and along with his wife Marianne by his side, they became one of the most sought after market gardens.  Every September and October huge white tents were erected on the property which displayed the vast variety of pumpkins and vegetables that they grew.  People came out in droves to choose their special pumpkins from “The Pumpkin Patch”.

Stanley joined the Khartum Temple Roughriders Unit and was a proud chartered member.
During his lifetime, he donated to many charitable organizations and was also an active member of Corpus Christi Church.

Stanley and Marianne vacationed extensively being Caribbean Cruises, Barbados, Palm Springs, Hawaii, PuertoVallarta and Acapulco, Mexico.  His biggest love was his cottage at Lake of the Woods surrounded always by family and friends.

Stanley was dearly loved and will forever be missed.
