Obituary of DR. WILFORT THOMAS

WILFORT THOMAS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend, on Thursday March 2, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital. Born January 22, 1940 in Port au Prince Haiti. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Nicole, son Wilfort Jr. (Andree), daughters Sybile (Nelson), Claudia, three step-grandchildren and the apple of his eye Myiah his granddaughter, brothers Jean (Ester and Family), Rolbert (and Family), Clark (and Family), Loxley (and Family), sisters Betsy (Abner), Vinnette (and Family), Yanick (and Family), Marlene and Family, Helena and Family and Ketly and Family. Wilfort left his native land of Haiti to study medicine in Mexico. When he finished his studies, Wilfort and his family moved to Winnipeg where he practiced medicine for several years before enjoying the benefits of retirement. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at St. Boniface Hospital, whose tireless efforts ensured that his last days were comfortable. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
