Obituary of JOSÉ TEIXEIRA VIEIRA

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of José Teixeira Vieira on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the age of 74. José leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Maria Jacinta; children, Maria (Steve), Elias (Jean), Joe (Anita), and Gaspar (Michelle); seven grandchildren, Tyler, Brandyn, Chantelle, Tevyn, Treyton, Mateo, and Lola; brother Anselmo; and two sisters, Maria and Leonor. José was a loyal husband, father, grandfather to everyone he met. José came to Canada in 1975 with his wife Maria and their three children. They lived in Toronto for a year, José moved his family to Winnipeg where they had their fourth child. He worked for Maple Leaf Construction in Winnipeg. José worked very hard to provide for his family whom he deeply loved especially his seven grandchildren. Lola his little princess, brought so much joy to his life. He was very proud of all his kids and grandchildren. José loved Casa Acores, it was his second home where he made so many lifelong friends. All José wanted was for everyone to be humble and kind. Prayers will be said on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street North. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with entombment to follow at Holy Angels Mausoleum located at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. We would like to thank our family, friends, doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre as well as Seven Oaks Hospital for the compassionate care José received.
