Obituary of LAWRENCE PATRICK SANGSTER

LAWRENCE PATRICK SANGSTER On July 19 2016 at the Riverview Palliative Care Center, Lawrence Sangster beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, friend and teacher passed away at the age of 54 years surrounded by his family. Along with his wife Tracy he is survived by his sons John (Desiree), Michael, and William, his daughters Alissa (Tim), Diana (Tyler), Karen, Kristin, Debbie and Paige. His grandsons Michael, William, and Logan. His mother Margaret, sister Cindy (Ryan) Leverton, Mike (Debbie), Andy (Teri), John (Cheryl), Wallis (Evelyn) and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father Wallis Sangster. Lawrence was a kind, caring, compassionate man who would do anything he could to help anyone in need, whether it was family, friends, co-workers, students or strangers. Lawrence loved spending time with his family having wing nights, movie nights or a back yard fire, whatever we were doing he enjoyed the moments. He was so happy to have had the opportunity to start and be head coach of the Kildonan East Reivers football team. Lawrence also enjoyed coaching the Valley Garden's wrestling team to bring the championship home. He made many lasting memories with his players. We were blessed to have been able to take Lawrence to Hamilton to see his daughter Diana and her fiancé Tyler, his mother, sister, brother's nieces, nephews, and all his extended family, and friends. And we will forever be grateful to our friends Mark and Shannon Birk, Blake and Angie Everett, Dan and Shelly Labossiere, and Ron and Gail Newman for creating the Go Fund Me page that enabled us to get Lawrence home one more time, and to everyone who donated to the Go Fund Me page. The memories we made, we will cherish always. With a special thank you to Darlene and Vern Appleyard for their very generous donations and all their help getting Lawrence and I home. Also to Moksha Yoga Kildonan for dedicating their July karma classes to Lawrence. We would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses both from Cancer Care and Riverview Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 2:00pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB
