MICHAEL KUSIAK

Obituary of MICHAEL KUSIAK

MICHAEL KUSIAK It is with great sadness we announce that at age 27 Michael passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 4th, 2016. Michael was born February 1, 1989, in Winnipeg, to Augustayn and Maria (Ciupak) Kusiak. He is survived by his mother, Maria; Maria’s partner Ryszard and step brother, Radoslaw Kusiak; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Augustyn Kusiak. Michael truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family. He enjoyed going to the gym. At home, many treasurable evenings were spent listening to music and taking care of his four year old dog Rowley. Mike had an inexplicable ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He loved travelling and spending time with his step brother Radek. While visiting him in Poland two years ago, he had one of his most memorable vacations, exploring the country from which both of his parents are from. He also liked to travel to Yonkers, New York where his aunt, Franciszka and her family live. Those were cherished moments of his short life. He fully enjoyed the company of his mother, whom he loved dearly and who often had him laughing and kept him company when he was happy and even more when he was sad, by giving him unconditional love. Rapidly and quietly came the call, his sudden departure shocked us all. We love you Michael and will miss you. Gone but not forgotten, forever. Family, friends, and those lives that Michael touched are invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg to remember, grieve, and support each other in this sorrowful time. In this mournful time we are thanking the police officers, Seven Oaks Hospital and Health Science Centre staff for the care given to Michael. Flowers are a beautiful, time honored way to express your love, sympathy and support. Those wishing to make a contribution in memory of Michael may do so to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, 840 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB E3A 1S1. “When he died, I suddenly realized I wasn’t crying for him, but for all the things he did. I cried because he would never do them again” -Unknown-
