Obituary of Cynthia Pascoe

CYNTHIA JOAN PASCOE (nee ZALITACH) Peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2008, surrounded by her family, Cyndi Pascoe passed away following a courageous battle with cancer. Cyndi is survived by her loving husband Edward Pascoe, and two precious daughters, Jennifer and Jessica. Also mourning her loss are her parents, John and Jean Zalitach, sisters Diane Zalitach, Wendy and Jack Groot, brother-in-law Jim Pascoe and Wendy, sister-in-law Judy Lunny and Ray of Australia, nephews, Kevin and Michael Groot, Aunts and Uncles, Chocha Irene and Ed Dobush and Mike and Judy Zalitach, plus numerous cousins. Cyndi was born on May 1, 1952. From a little girl she always knew that teaching was her passion, and her dream came true when she graduated from The University of Manitoba with a B.A. and B.Ed. Cyndi taught at Shaughnessy Park School. She then moved to Robertson School where she created the Ukrainian Language program. Pawnee Pascoe touched the lives of so many young people and made many lasting friendships during her teaching career. Cyndi's most relaxing times were spent at her cottage, sitting in the screen house or just on the deck reading cookbooks. Her family was her greatest joy, and she could always be counted on to host the family celebrations. She also had a great gift of playing the piano. Cyndi was the foundation of her family. Her loss will be painful for all who knew her. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave. Funeral service will also be held at the Church on Thursday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bashutskyy officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Eden Cemetery. We wish to thank all our family and friends for their love and support during this time.
