JOHN KUZINA 1930 - 2008 It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of John Kuzina, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son on October 24, 2008 at St. Boniface hospital in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 78 years. John is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Iris, his daughters Jan, Debbie (Edward), grandchildren Jessica, Ryan, Amber, son-in-law Vince, his oldest brother Steve (Jean), sisters-in-law Luba, Donna (Ed) and Marion, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. His passing is shared with his middle daughter Diane, who peacefully left this earth the following morning. John was predeceased by his parents, Anastasia and John, sisters Catherine and Ann, brothers Mike (WWll), Fred and Peter. John was born in the R.M. of Springfield (Cooks Creek). He grew up on the family farm, and then moved to Winnipeg at age 10. After finishing school he embarked on many business ventures with his brothers Steve and Peter and his friend, the late Andy Didenko. John enjoyed his retirement, with many winters spent at Padre Island, Texas, where he loved walking the miles of beaches. He loved to travel and he and Iris took trips to Mexico, Australia, and across Canada and the U.S.A., including Hawaii and Alaska. Mostly, John loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed having large family gatherings in his home, and treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff on Unit 5B and the ICU at the St. Boniface hospital. Also to Father John for his many visits and spiritual support. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in John's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
