Obituary of Eleonora IPSICS

ELEONORA MARIA IPSICS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear daughter on August 5th, 2008, at the Victoria General Hospital. Eleonora was born in Hungary in 1947, came to Winnipeg in1957. She was an exceptional child, eager to learn, especially the English language. She was a hard worker and a great student. With great determination, she achieved a bachelor's degree in education. She spent the next thirty years teaching junior high students in Winnipeg. She was devoted all her life to her students, her parents, her church and the community. Sadly, in 1997, she began a loosing battle with her illness. In spite of all efforts and a courageous fight, she lost this battle and the Lord took her into His arms. Eleonora was predeceased by her brother, Lajos in 1983. Left to mourn, her father Lajos, mother Nora, and friends in Winnipeg, aunt Akacz Jozsefne, cousins Jozsef and wife Cecilia, Adam and Akos Akacz of Budapest, Hungary. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Many thanks to the medical professionals of Winnipeg and the Mayo Clinic for their care over the years. Special thank-you for the loving and compassionate care of the staff at the Victoria Hospital who cared for her in her last few days. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Church, 365 Burnell St., Father Stan Gacek officiating.
