LORNE (BUDA) BODANSKI 1937-2008 Peacefully on November 11, 2008 at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg at the age of 71, Lorne is at rest after an 8 1/2 year struggle with heart and stroke disease. Lorne is survived by his wife Betty-Anne, children Kim (Brent) Olynyk, Lori (Brad) Gray, Lorne Jr. (Marlene) Bodanski; step-children Robert (Rosita) Ruff, and Robyne Ruff (Harold Brazil); his eight grandchildren, Kris and Evan Bodanski, Jade Olynyk, Kyle Gray, Colton, Morgan, Madison and Dylan Ruff; his sister Lorraine (Nick) Koswan and family; his brother and sisters-in-law Paul (Carolyn) Sully, Rosemary (Murray) Woodall, Lynda (Gord Bigam) Anderson, Margaret (Phil) Shaman and their families. Lorne was born on September 20, 1937 to Harry and Helen Bodanski in Gardenton Manitoba. He attended Norquay and Tec Voc Schools. A gifted athlete from a young age, Lorne excelled in all sports, but his passions were hockey and golf. Lorne entered the workforce with the City of Winnipeg and remained there until his retirement as a By- Law Enforcement Officer. We wish to thank Rich Obirek, a true friend to Lorne who was always there for him. The staff of Middlechurch Home who were so very good to Lorne. They spoiled him, laughed with him and took such wonderful care of him. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg 280 Balderstone Road, Winnipeg , MB R4A 4A6 or the charity of your choice. Rest in Peace Dad.
