NICHOLAS (NICK) ANISIMOWICZ It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Nick on May 2, 2008 at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 85. Nick is survived by son Roman (Sadie); daughter Marta (Bob) Harris; grandchildren Michael (Vanessa) Anisimovicz, Kathryn Anisimovicz, William and Nadine Harris and the greatest joy of his life, great grandson Nicholas Anisimovicz. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Anastasia, in 2004. Nick was born on July 3, 1922 in Isayvechi, Belarus and came with his wife and son to Canada in 1952. He worked in construction, and then joined CPR Rail as a blacksmith until retirement. Nick was very devoted to his family, he enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. His wood and metalworking skills were appreciated by all. The family would like to thank Dr. Sheldon Permack and the nursing staff of 4th floor north at Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, May 7 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor Street, with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat Michael Buyachok as Celebrant. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.cropo.com In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nick's memory to Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral.
